Flagstone Patio

If you want to totally transform your backyard - consider flagstone.   This project is currently in-process, but we can already tell that this is a major enhancement.

The scope of this phase of the project includes a 6' fountain, custom-made patio cover, and landscaping that will outline the new flagstone patio.

As a locally-owned family business, we are in competition with "box stores" and other national franchise operations for your window, siding and remodeling projects.   We find that this competition is healthy, and when others play fairly, you, the consumer, will win every time.

What is most bothersome is the ease with which some of our competitors bend the rules, possibly mislead customers about the tax benefits and energy-savings from new windows, and use high-pressure sales techniques that work on those that can least afford the products.

When you invite an “old-school window salesperson” into your home, know that he or she is there to SELL you new windows. They are not there to visit, share their views on world politics, or anything else.  Their ONLY goal is to leave with your check in-hand.

Understand that this salesperson has made their "pitch" thousands of times, is totally prepared for your every objection, and will not be easily swayed by an occasional "NO" from you. 

They also know that you will feel uneasy in asking them to leave, and if you are like most people, will let them talk and talk about the benefits of buying today, and the downside of delaying your decision even one day or minute.

1.      My suggestion is that you be prepared to say "NO" at least four-five times, and that you set a tight time-limit on their "visit" to your home.  There is nothing about windows or siding that takes more than 30-45 minutes to cover completely, unless YOU want to discuss this further.

2.      You should always ask for a list of local references that you can check, homes that you can view, and telephone numbers you can call.  Be sure to get recent and years-old references from every company you interview. 

3.      Most importantly, you absolutely must meet the people that will be installing your windows BEFORE you do anything.  The salesperson will be a distant memory when it's time for the installation, so know who is going to be in your home, and be totally comfortable with this person - regardless of the company that sold you the windows or siding.

4.      A truly skilled window or siding installer can explain the install process to you, show you examples of their work, and will be more than happy to answer your questions.  Remember, someone is about to remove your windows - be totally assured and comfortable with them before you sign any purchase contract.

5.      Do not feel pressured into believing that the price is good for "today and today, only."  If anything, the price of windows is going down, and we gladly accept responsibility (blame, according to most of others in the window business) for at least a portion of this downward pressure on the local retail price of windows.

6.      You truly do not need to pay $500+ for a replacement window, unless you need security, impact and/or hurricane force wind protection.  Even then, the price should be in the $500-$600 range.

Any price you receive from my company, Premier Home Renewal, Inc., will be good for at least SIX MONTHS, not six weeks, and definitely will never be a today-only price.
